Blogger to Blogger tips #3

hey! So recently on my instagram (@bpweekly.blog) I was asked some questions about my blogging skills and how I remain organized throughout the process and I thought, “what a perfect idea for a blog post!” So in today’s blog post, I will be providing a few tips for my fellow bloggers out there. I will be specifically focusing on how to remain organized and how to be creative when it comes to post ideas.

Q: How do you know when to post?

A: In the beginning, I was sort of lost in the woods on how blogging worked. I just knew what I wanted to write and that I wanted to be consistent with my content. But obviously in the name of my blog, “weekly,” I made it a goal to post at least once a week. Lately I feel that I have been consistent in posting my blog posts and remaining consistent on my instagram page as well. I post every saturday at 10:15am, (make sure to check in then or sign up for emailing list).

Q: How do you know what to post; post ideas?

A: For ideas, I really just brainstorm a few days before I begin writing. (I have tons of post-its with lists of ideas and every week I go through them and choose one). Sometimes when I feel that I am fresh out of ideas, I go to google and instagram and wait for inspiration to strike. I do also read other bloggers posts and magazine articles for inspiration.

Q: When do you write your blog posts?

A: I actually write about 2-3 blog posts at a time to not feel overwhelmed later on. Sometimes I don’t necessarily write them all at once but I start each of them to get ideas flowing through. Then I schedule them to be posted weeks later on.

Q: How long does it take for you to write a single post?

A: It could take me up to an hour, depending on how long or detailed it needs to be. For some it may take longer, it truly depends.

Q: How do you balance academics with your blog posting?

A: In the summer, I am really taking into consideration the time that I have, I may begin writing or creating new ideas so that I won’t feel too overwhelmed. It’s also fine to take breaks in between like the break I took from posting while I studied for exams. Both are my #1 priority though. (Summarized; I basically try really hard not to get too overwhelmed, I write posts in advance or during any free time).

Thank you for tuning in to today’s blog post, stay tuned for more! ❤

xoxo, banya.
