Hey everyone! In today’s blog post, i’ll be writing about some of favorite quotes from one of my favorite books, “the sun and her flowers,” a poetry book written by one of my favorite authors, Rupi Kaur.
This is part 1 of a series, hope you guys enjoy it!!
Let’s get into it!
“it isn’t what we left behind/that breaks me/it’s what we could’ve built/had we stayed.”
“i could be anything/in the world/but i wanted to be his.”
“you break women in like shoes.”
“you’re everywhere/except right here/and it hurts.”
“i tried to find it/but there was no answer/at the end of the last conversation.”
“you ask/if we can still be friends/i explain how a honeybee does not dream of kissing/the mouth of a flower/and then settle for its leaves.”
“why is it/that when a story ends/we begin to feel all of it.”
That is all for todays blog post, I hope you all enjoyed it. I really am loving this book and I really hope you guys check it out!
Let me know if you guys are liking this new series, maybe I could do the same for other poetry books I have read!
Thanks again for tuning in for today’s blog post! ❤
