Brands I cannot live without

Brands I cannot live without

I’m not gonna lie, I may have a shopping addiction. It’s crazy, there is always something I am dying to buy! In this week’s blog post, I will be talking about a few brands that I cannot live without.  I absolutely adore clothes, malls, fashion magazines, watching fashion shows and I love love love attention to detail.

Of course, one of my all time favorite brands is Topshop. Topshop is my all time favorite brand to buy from. Their clothes are always trendy, cute, classy, comfy and fashionable. Prices on certain items may be a little high but their quality is the best! I adore their jeans, they are so flattering on me and super comfortable! In this photo above, I am wearing ALL Topshop! They have clothes for every occasion! This photo was taken this past November, in Paris, in the freezing temperatures. Topshop kept me warm and stylish all day long! Topshop is based in the UK, but they have stores online and all over the U.S. They have tons of variety in styles and sizes. Another brand I cannot live without is Brandy Melville, I see a ton of girls now wearing Brandy Melville. Their clothes can be described as inexpensive, trendy, comfortable and perfect for everyday wear! BrandyMelville clothing and accessories are very minimal and are PERFECT for all occasions. Their jewelry and accessories can cost as low as $4 and their shirts are super cute and you can wear it with almost anything!!

Lastly, a few more brands I cannot live without are Tiffany&Co, because I just adore their “Return Me To Tiffany’s” collection, I also love Adidas, their shoes are extremely comfortable and they go with everything! Another brand I love is Zara, originating from Spain, their clothing is so classy and stylish. A little pricy but super modern and really good quality. Other brands I adore are small boutiques, local shops, and other brands, to name a few; ShopAvenu, Francesca’s, Garage, Wasteland, Forever 21, Abercrombie & Fitch, Pandora, Anthropologie, and Urban Outfitters!

Shopping is like my therapy, it relaxes me, hahah it is my happy place. My closet is getting pretty full so now I don’t shop as much but hanging out at the mall has been the highlight of my weekends. ❤

what to wear to Disney parks

what to wear to Disney parks

Last weekend I went to the happiest place on earth! Can you guess where I went? Yes! I went to Disneyland ! I absolutely adore Disney parks, I have the most fun when I go. When I was much younger, I would spent long weekends at Disneyland with my family. We would go every year, a few days leading up to my birthday. But as I have been getting older, I visit the park much less than I used to. I still love and still enjoy spending time there but my life is getting busy with school and dance. When going to Disneyland, you can probably expect; food spills, riding some fun water rides, warm mornings but cold evenings etc. You must always be prepared no mater what the weather is. If it is cold in the morning, I recommend bringing a pair of shorts in your bag just in case, and if it is warm, maybe bring a jacket or a long sleeve for the evening because California weather can be unpredictable.

On my trip to Disneyland, I wore very casual but trendy attire. I paired my outfit around my Disney Mickey ears, with the classic red and white bow. I wore a white zip up – cropped hoodie from Brandy Melville, red textured pants from Brandy Melville, a simple black tank top from Urban Outfitters and classic/vintage Reebok tennis shoes. Not only was I comfortable all day long, but I felt so cute and got the perfect instagram pictures, lol ! To carry a few necessities, I carried around a mini black and gold detailed, leather backpack from Nordstrom. In this mini backpack, I carried; hand sanitizer, lip balm, mascara, a small hairbrush, my phone charger, my portable battery, my phone, earphones, sunglasses and my wallet. Maybe even think about bringing a refillable water bottle to save some money on the pricey water inside the park! I absolutely love this outfit and I will probably wear it again the next time I visit Disneyland again.

When I would go to Disneyland, my family and I would always end the day with watching the holiday parade followed by enjoying the beautiful display of fireworks. The fireworks always was a fine touch on my stay at the park, it felt like a “see you next time.” Still, Disneyland is my favorite place in the whole world. It has always been a tradition (well sort-of, i created it in my own head hahah) to buy one churro once I arrive, after dinner and right before I leave the park. It is just something really great to look forward to. But seriously what do they put in their churros to make it so addicting, wow!!!

I hope you loved this week’s blog posts and I apologize for the lack of content, I will try my best to post more than once a week ❤

Happy New Year !

Happy New Year !

Before we officially say goodbye to 2017 and welcome the new year, I want to look back on this year and share some of the best moments of the year.

Starting off with Maria Grazia Chiuri and Dior continuing to champion feminism with a new line of thought-provoking tops. Many were based on female rights and equality for all.

Aerie Launched its Real Me Nude Collection, the brand is known for encouraging self-love and added the addition of five new nude shades to its collection.

Something very similar was done by Rihanna in her makeup line, FENTY BEAUTY, it was created “for women of all shades, personalities, attitudes, cultures, and races,” -Rihanna wrote.

Sports Illustrated Featured a swimsuit ad without using traditional models. “Every Body, Every Age, Every Beautiful.” Anyone can be whatever they want to be, society alters our view of others and ourselves. We are shown that ‘beautiful is thin,’ ‘sexy is women showing skin,’ and that to be a model you have to look a certain way, but that isn’t true at all. This year has been a busy year with many impactful political events, positive movements that fight for equality, love and respect. While several events have impacted several U.S. citizens and people globally, we still always find a way to stick together and stay positive. This year has brought me joy, hope, success, and love.

A few of my new year’s resolutions are; taking risks, focus on my career, expand my knowledge, eat more greens and enjoy every single day. I look forward to seeing what 2018 may bring for all of us. Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!!
